Grow Your Own Teeth in Springfield?

The future of replacement teeth could go beyond dentures and dental implants -- patients could one day have their own teeth cloned, reports WJXT-TV. Researchers predict that stem cell technology will soon allow clones of missing teeth for the most natural replacement teeth ever created.
"This will be, in the future, standard of care in dentistry to use stem cell therapy to regrow teeth or parts of teeth," said Peter Murray, Ph.D., a professor of endodontics at Nova Southeastern University, to WJXT-TV. The technology is still being tested in animal trials, and will have to be further tested before it is ready for market.
